While the weather is good this summer we will be doing most of our training sessions outdoors on the awesome Hampstead Heath.
Pushing hands has set drills, including fixed stance and stepping exercises as well as spontaneous practice, which also can be done from a fixed stance or moving, as in Judo or wrestling.
It’s designed to strength standing grappling, controlling and sensitivity skills. As always in tai chi the objective is to use the minimum force required to be effective. EFFECTIVENESS is always the goal.
