In these classes we teach you the more Yin or internal aspects of Taijiquan (Tai Chi Chuan).
Yin training is designed to help you increase your focus and concentration whilst also developing your ability to relax and unwind more and more deeply. Developing your Yin capacity is highly useful for improving your wellbeing, your physical and mental health, as well as for enhancing your martial arts abilities.
Each aspect of the practice helps you to train and develop your skills in quite different ways, keeping your practices fresh, alive and spontaneous.
As you practice we help you to understand and incorporate all the traditional Taoist Tai Chi theory concepts so that the art becomes your own and you can access a higher level of understanding, which will help you get much more from your Taijiquan (Tai Chi Chuan)practice.
You will be able to learn all the traditional practices including
The traditional long Taijiquan (Tai Chi Chuan) form: For most people this is generally learned square, round, mirror and then reverse. There are 119 postures in the form, which are practiced is a soft, gentle and flowing sequence, taking around 20 minutes.
Pushing hands exercises: Practice of the partner exercises of Tai Chi, developing the sensitivity, techniques and movement skills, without any competitive elements.
Tai Chi Neigong Yin styles: The internal strength exercises have been the secretive aspects of the art taught to more committed students. The practice encompasses meditation, breathing, movement and a deep level of body strengthening, internally and externally.
