INTERNAL STRENGTH EXERCISES BUILD AN EXTREMELY STRONG, POWERFUL AND COORDINATED BODY, WHILST DEVELOPING DEEP BREATHING AND MENTAL TRANQUILITY.

Also known in Chinese as Neigong, internal strength training is an incredible daily practice students can use to build physical power and technique while enhancing all around vitality and wellbeing.

The exercises have been passed down secretively for hundreds of years in primary Chinese martial arts schools.
They were initially developed by Taoists, who sought to make the body as strong and healthy as possible, whilst developing deep harmonious breathing, leading to better meditative states. They based many of the movements on animals.

There are 24 exercises, 12 designated Yin and 12 Yang. These two sets are usually practiced on alternating days, providing optimal rest and stimulation.

After 100 days of training students can test themselves by having someone jump on their abdomen from head height. This shows the strengthening effective of the internal organs and the fascia that surrounds them. This is just one benefit of this remarkable training method and has led some people to refer to the training as Iron Shirt training. Your body can become as hard as iron.
