Originally developed hundreds of years ago, the old masters knew that fighting skills alone weren’t good enough for a daily practice. They realised that people needed systematic training to increase the health of body and mind, so that they would feel better, live longer and have better quality of life.
Training requires no expensive equipment, can be done anywhere with very little space either indoors or outside (ideally in nature or a nice park).
With regular enjoyable practice you will quickly develop good all around health, feel full of energy, improve your physique and develop and alert and concentrate mind. This leads to better decision making and can help achieve greater success in other areas of life.
The slow, relaxed and gentle training of the Hand Form develops deep diaphragmatic breathing. This helps you become calmer and feel more relaxed, with your central nervous system becoming well balanced. In turn your internal organs function more efficiently. The organs also receive benefit from the deep breathing. Healthy organs lead to much better overall health and appearance with better hormonal health, lower body fat etc.
With your regular practice you will quickly become better coordinated, move better and have better posture. This can boost your self confidence and also projects confidence to others.
The various exercises of the system including the Internal Strength exercises can be used to build an extremely strong body, with a lot of explosive power. Good levels of muscle mass that result are now acknowledged to be extremely healthy and the strength and power gained will make your self defence techniques much more potent. Becoming stronger and more powerful will enable you to feel much more confident in facing any would be attacker.
